Planned Giving: Will or Trust

Thank you for considering naming Franciscan Charities, Inc. as a beneficiary of your will or trust.

Including Franciscan Charities, Inc. in your estate plan will not only assist you in continuing your own philanthropic and charitable giving goals beyond your lifetime, but it will also allow Franciscan Charities Inc. to continue its mission to tend to the critical needs of the poor, provide tools to rise above poverty and support healing for those in need.

The following language is an example of wording that may be used to name Franciscan Charities, Inc. as a beneficiary of your last will and testament or charitable trust. You may either make a general or restricted gift to Franciscan Charities, Inc. In addition, such gift may be of a specific dollar amount or it may also be of a percentage of your estate.

“I give, devise and bequeath to Franciscan Charities, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization registered with the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General (CH2685200) and located at 355 South 6th Street, Newark, New Jersey, 07103 , [state percentage of estate or residue, sum of money or otherwise describe property] to be used for its general [or the following specific] purposes.”
