“A Fresh Start”

Paul’s Corner

Dear Friends of Franciscan Charities,

The needs of the poor are many.  Sometimes, they are obvious — a warm and healthy meal, a small bag of groceries, a few diapers and baby food.  Some are not so obvious but, come to our attention through interactions with clients.  Some come about from a vision or idea that a volunteer has, or a contributing organization proposes.

Over the years, many philanthropic organizations have enhanced the comfort of our clients by funding capital purchases and improvements to the soup kitchen, while other fellowship organizations have helped clients with basic and essential needs.  These are only examples of how supportive organizations and individuals assist us and truly inspire us to dig deeper to find ways to expand our services and programs to help clients during difficult times.  We truly appreciate every individual, family and organization that aids us in achieving our mission.

With deep gratitude,
Paul Miller, OFS
