The needs of the poor are many. Sometimes, they are obvious -- a warm and healthy meal, a small bag of groceries, a few diapers and baby food. Some are not so obvious, but come to our attention through interactions with clients. Some come about from a vision or idea that a volunteer has, or a contributing organization proposes.
In this issue, I invite you to read about how one philanthropic organization enhanced the comfort of St. Ann's by funding capital purchases and improvements. I also urge you to read about how a fellowship organization is helping clients with a basic and essential need. These are only two examples of how supportive organizations and individuals assist us, and truly inspire us to dig deeper to find ways to expand our services and programs to help clients during this difficult time. We truly appreciate every individual, family and organization that aids us in achieving our mission.
With deep gratitude,
Paul Miller, OFS
